In a move aimed at ensuring uninterrupted healthcare for the public during the upcoming long weekend, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Medical Sciences and Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital (RML) has announced that essential services will remain operational on Saturday, August 16, 2025.

The decision comes as the national capital prepares for three consecutive holidays from August 15 to 17. To avoid any disruption in patient care, the hospital will continue to provide Outpatient Department (OPD) services, laboratory facilities, radiology services, emergency care, and cash counter operations on the intervening Saturday.

According to the official order issued by Administrative Officer Anil Bhatt, all Heads of Departments and in-charges have been instructed to arrange adequate manpower through proper duty rosters and adjust leave schedules to maintain smooth functioning.

“This step has been taken in the interest of uninterrupted healthcare services and public convenience,” the order states.

The hospital administration has circulated the order through its e-Office Notice Board and requested department heads to ensure full compliance so that patients do not face any inconvenience during the extended holiday period.
