Five Delhi tourists test positive for COVID-19; untraceable in Nainital

Five tourists from Delhi, who recently came to Nainital, tested positive for coronavirus on October 4, 2021, the state health department said.

As per the health officials, these tourists reached Nainital from Delhi on October 2, 2021. Before leaving for Nainital, they gave swabs for coronavirus testing in Delhi which resulted positive on October 4.

Now the officials have informed that the tourists are untraceable. By the time their coronavirus test results came out, the tourists had already reached Nainital.

As soon as the health department learned that the tourists had arrived on October 4, they rushed officials to Nainital.

The district administration and police have been informed by the department about the presence of tourists in Nainital.

An official said that they are making all efforts to trace the tourists.

Dr. KS Dhami, Principal Medical Superintendent of BD Pandey Hospital in Nainital, said “The efforts are being made to contact but no information has been received. Police have been informed about this.”
