Hesitancy in getting vaccinated against COVID19, which has claimed the lives of nearly 4,90,000 people in India still prevails among the people, especially in far-flung areas, despite massive awareness programs being run by state and central governments.

Recently two videos, from the Balia district of Uttar Pradesh have gone viral on social media platforms, showing that in an attempt not to get vaccinated, a man climbed a tree to escape from healthcare workers.

The man, however, was convinced by the workers and he came down from the tree and took the vaccine jab.

In another video, a boatman was seen wrestling with a healthcare worker and almost dragging the HCW to the river.

Atul Dubey, Block Development Officer, Reoti, Balia, told the media that both the men were reluctant to take vaccines but they took the shots after they were convinced.
