444 paramedical vacancies to be filled in Delhi hospitals

In order to give a boost to manpower of hospitals in the National Capital, the Delhi Government has decided to recruit 444 paramedics in various medical institutions soon.

The state Department of Administrative Reform (AR) has agreed to creation of 444 paramedical posts under various categories in different hospitals that includes doctor, nurses, technicians and paramedical staff. For filling any vacancy in any Government department, the recommendation of Administrative Reforms Department is mandatory.

Shortage of medical staff has been a matter of concern for long as Delhi hospitals which are already under enormous pressure have to handle people coming from neighbouring states to avail medical facilities. Patients have to suffer standing in long queues waiting for hours for their turns due to lack of adequate number of doctors and paramedical staff. Many patients leave unattended daily and some die in the absence of urgent medical assistance. The decision will help hospitals in providing better and effective services to the people of city.
However, 444 posts are just a tip of the iceberg as compared to large number of patients  come to hospitals and problems would not be too much improved but at least Government has taken some initiatives to provide better health care service to Delhiites.
