Amid the spread of corona virus when every individual is committed to serve the society in every possible way, some anti-socials are still roaming free and robbing people. A security guard on COVID-19 duty, posted at Government Senior Secondary School in Kalyan Puri, Delhi, was looted by three miscreants in the afternoon of April 2, 2020.

Harish, the security guard, is one of the security guards who have the responsibility to protect migrant labors staying in the school, which has recently been converted into a shelter home.

Harish told DTMT: “I was coming from home to join my duty. Just behind the school, three miscreants first moved the direction of the CCTV cameras towards the surface and then showed me a knife. They punched me and snatched my purse and a mobile phone. I had Rs 700 in the purse. With some struggle, I could manage to escape from the spot.”

Locals say that the area where the security guard was looted is a danger zone. They say that in such a situation when lockdown is being enforced they are still looting people.
