India reported 8392 Covid cases in the last twenty four hours on June 1, 2020, the highest single day spike in cases the day when Lockdown-5 begins. With this highest ever increase, the total number of cases of the virus across the country stands at 190535.

The country has also reported 230 deaths in the past twenty four hours, taking the total tally of deaths to 5164 so far. 91819 out of 190535 have recovered from the virus while 93322 are active cases of the virus.
