The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has ordered the closing of all private offices, except those which fall under “Exempted Category”.

The decision to close the offices was taken at today's DDMA meeting due to a constant surge of COVID cases in the national capital.

As per the order issued by Delhi’s Chief Secretary Vijay Dev, all the bars and restaurants will also be closed to prevent the further transmission of COVID cases. However, restaurants will be allowed only for home delivery.

The DDMA order reads that the practice of work from home shall be followed.

All the healthcare workers, media personnel, government employees will be allowed on production of valid ID cards, the order said.
