Mussoorie's IAS academy sealed as 33 get corona

The Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand, has been sealed after 33 trainees tested Covid positive.

“We have found 33 positive cases. The hostels, mess, administrative offices and library are being sanitized,” says Academy Director Sanjeev Chopra.  

Popularly known as IAS academy, LBSNAA's main objective is to train civil service officers of the Indian Administrative Service and also for Group-A Central Services. After completion of training, the trainee officers are awarded an MA degree in Public Management from Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi. The academy has been functioning under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions since 1985.
