India's Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan has written to states' additional chief secretaries and principal secretaries that in order to increase the access of vaccines to eligible populations, Covid vaccination sessions may be organized at work places (both public and private) which are having about 100 eligible and willing beneficiaries, by tagging these work places with an existing Covid vaccination center.

“In order to support the states in this initiative, guidelines have been prepared. These guidelines will support the state and district program managers with the requisite information and guide them on organizing vaccination sessions at such work place,” reads the letter to states.

“Please initiate due consultations with private and public sector employees and management to prepare for launch of workplace vaccination. Such work place vaccination centers may be launched across states and UTs from April 11, 2021,” reads the letter.
