India reports 20,557 COVID19 cases, 44 deaths in 24 hours

India recorded 20,557 new COVID19 cases and 44 deaths in the past 24 hours.
According to the Union Health Ministry update issued on July 28, 2022, a total of 19,216 patients recovered in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of recoveries to 4,32,86,787.
The active cases stood at 1,46,323, the ministry informed.
The positivity rate was recorded at 5.18%.
