Special ENT & Dental Camps in 3 Telangana districts

Inkeshaf Ahmed
With the Telangana Government having decided to hold state wide special ENT and Dental camps, on the lines of its successful Kanti Velugu (Eye Sight) camps, from February next month, the authorities of the medical, health and family welfare department have decided to hold a pilot program in three districts of the state.

The feedback the officials would receive would be used to effectively develop and implement the special drives.

The pilot program would be held in Sangareddy, Ranga Reddy and Medchal Malkajgiri districts. The principal secretary of the health department of the state, A. Santi Kumari, held a high level review meeting on the issue and issued guidelines on how to hold the ENT camps under the pilot program.

It has been decided to constitute three teams consisting of the doctors from ENT and dental fields. Each team will have 11 members. The authorities have also held training programs for the team members. The teams will go to the respective districts allotted to them and hold the camps.

“Our idea is to gather enough feedback through our pilot program. We will also prepare proper guidelines to hold the special camps across the state based on our experience in the pilot project. The Chief Minister of the state Mr. K. Chandrasekhar Rao has asked us to cover all the people of the state through these camps in the same manner as we did it in the Kanti Velugu program,” an official of the health department told DTMT.
