NEW DELHI: Dr. Lal PathLabs Ltd. has associated with the Organization of Rare Diseases-India (ORDI) for the campaign “Rare Needs Care”. On the occasion, an event 'Race for 7' was organized in Delhi by the ORDI to empower rare disease patients and their families with access to resources.

Leading diagnostic and healthcare service provider, Dr. Lal PathLabs has been working for combating rare diseases of neurology through its NeuroPro division.

Brig Dr. Arvind Lal, Chairman and Managing Director, Dr. Lal PathLabs, said, “Through this event we aim to make people aware about the challenges patients face due to rare diseases.”

He added, “We are participating to spread awareness about these rare diseases and help these patients get a correct and timely diagnosis.”

The 'Race for 7' consisted of a 7,000 m walk to raise awareness for the 7,000 documented rare diseases. This year the event was spread across Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Chennai, Mysuru, Coimbatore, Kochi, New Delhi and Thiruvananthapuram.
