World Homeopathy Day: International convention in New Delhi

NEW DELHI : India will host a two-day convention, beginning April 9, 2019, to mark the World Homeopathy Day, informs a release by the Indian Ministry of Ayush.

The convention, organized by the Central Council for Research in Homeopathy, an autonomous research organisation of the Ministry of Ayush, will witness signing of two MoUs with PG Homeopathic colleges and deliberations on linking education with research, the release said.

The council is taking this as an opportunity to review the journey thus far, taking stock of the challenges ahead and to formulate strategies for development of Homeopathy.

There is a need to focus on improving the quality of education and enhancing the success rate of an average physician. There is also need to ensure production and availability of high quality Homeopathy medicines in the market, the release said.

The convention will be graced by Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary of AYUSH, Mr Roshan Jaggi, Joint Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH, Mr Nilanjal Sanyal, Chairman, Board of Governors, Central Council of Homeopathy and Mr Tridandi Chinna Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamiji. Tributes will be paid by Dr. Gary Smyth, President, Faculty of Homeopathy, UK, and Dr. Alok Pareek, President, LMHI (International).

To recognize the excellent work in Homeopathy, AYUSH awards relating to Homeopathy for Life Time Achievement, Best Teacher, Young Scientist and Best Research Paper will be conferred at the convention.
