NEW DELHI: This year, the Perfect Health Mela, the annual flagship event of the Heart Care Foundation of India (HCFI), will be held from October 18-20 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi.

The Mela is being jointly organized with the Dept. of Health and Family Welfare, Delhi Government, DST and other central and Delhi government departments.

The theme for the Mela this year is “Harm Reduction”.

A one-of-its-kind event held every year to generate all-round awareness on health using infotainment as a medium, the Perfect Health Mela celebrated its 25th anniversary in October last year.

“Over the years, the Mela has addressed several themes that are pertinent to public health and has provided a platform for organizations to showcase their capabilities,” said Dr KK Aggarwal, founder of HCFI.

Dr Aggarwal stated, “Students from schools and colleges are participating in large numbers in the Mela. There will be the usual lifestyle exhibitions, free health check-ups, lectures, workshops etc. Among the most attended events of the Mela are Harmony and Ecofest National Inter-school competitions, Youth Rock Band/Orchestra Festival, Divya Jyoti and Medio Masti Youth Festival.”
