Indications

Major depressive disorder (MDD).

Dosage

Oral; 8mg half hour before going to bed.

Contra-Indications

Oral; 20-40mg once daily with food.

Special Precautions

Paediatric: Safety and efficacy not yet established. Pregnancy: Data not sufficient. Lactation: Data not sufficient. Elderly: Increased risk of hyponatremia.

Side Effects

Suicidal Thoughts and Behaviors in Children, Adolescents, and Young Adults serotonin Syndrome ,Increased Risk of Bleeding, Mania or Hypomania, Angle-Closure Glaucoma, Hyponatremia.

Drug Interactions

MAO inhibitors,, serotonergic drugs.
