APPETITE STIMULANT
Appetite stimulant drugs also known as Orexigenic or appetisers, are used to enhance appetite and improve nutrition in patients with low appetite, weight loss and other chronic conditions including cancer, anorexia, malnutrition, pulmonary diseases, and HIV. The following appetite stimulants are approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA): Megestrol, Mirtazapine, Oxandrolone, etc.Cancer, tumour, abdominal discomfort, diabetes mellitus, anorexia nervosa, tuberculosis ( T.B).
Hypersensitivity reactions or allergic reactions.
High blood pressure, sleeplessness, skin rash, mood changes, sweating, flatulence diarrhoea, chest pain, impotency, vomiting, anaemia, coughing and breathlessness.
