Atracurium Besilate

Atracurium Besylate is an intermediate-duration, nondepolarizing, skeletal muscle relaxant for intravenous administration.

Indications

Atracurium besylate injection is indicated, as an adjunct to general anesthesia, to facilitate endotra-cheal intubation and to provide skeletal muscle relaxation during surgery or mechanical ventilation.

10mg/mL


Contra-Indications

Hypersensitivity to drug or components; lack of ventilatory support, neuromuscular disease.


Special Precautions

Since allergic cross-reactivity has been reported in this class, request information from your patients about previous anaphylactic reactions to other neuromuscular blocking agents.


Side Effects

Skin flushing or redness, injection site reactions, hives, itching, wheezing, shortness of breath, allergic reactions, inadequate musculoskeletal block, low blood pressure, and fast or slow heart rate.


Drug Interactions

A total of 263 drugs (991 brand and generic names) are known to interact with atracurium.
