AVOBENZONE

It is a dibenzoyl derivative and has wide-spectrum ultraviolet absorption properties. It is used in a variety of commercial products. It provides protection to the skin and helps to reduce premature ageing, and skin cancer

Indications

Sunburn, premature ageing, wrinkles, and skin cancer

Contra-Indications

Hypersensitivity.

Side Effects

Rash, skin redness, itching, swelling, dizziness, and difficulty in breathing.

Drug Interactions

Does not have any significant drug interaction. In some cases may interact with anaesthetic drugs ( benzocaine, tetracaine).
