This medication is a combination preparation containing Bamipine Lactate, Ammonium Chloride, Sodium Citrate, and Menthol. Bamipine lactate is a bronchodilator that works by relaxing the smooth muscles in the airways, helping to improve breathing. Ammonium chloride helps to maintain the pH balance in the body, while sodium citrate acts as a buffering agent. Menthol provides a soothing effect and helps to relieve respiratory discomfort.

Indications

-Symptomatic relief of cough associated with respiratory tract infections. -Relief of bronchial congestion and associated symptoms.


Dosage

-Adults and children over 12 years: Take 10-20ml orally every 4-6 hours as needed. -Children 6-12 years: Take 5-10ml orally every 4-6 hours as needed. -Not recommended for children under 6 years old.


Contra-Indications

-Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients. -Severe hypertension. -Severe coronary artery disease. -Severe liver or kidney impairment. -Concurrent use with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs).


Special Precautions

-Use with caution in patients with cardiovascular disorders, including hypertension and arrhythmias. -Caution is advised in patients with hepatic or renal impairment. -Avoid use in pregnant or breastfeeding women unless the potential benefits outweigh the risks. -Avoid prolonged use without medical supervision.


Side Effects

-Common side effects may include dizziness, headache, nausea, and gastrointestinal discomfort. -Rare but serious side effects may include palpitations, tremors, and allergic reactions.


Drug Interactions

-Concurrent use with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) may result in hypertensive crisis. -Use with caution alongside other medications that can cause central nervous system depression, such as opioids or sedatives.
