This medication is a combination of paracetamol (acetaminophen), chlorpheniramine maleate, phenylephrine hydrochloride, and salicylamide. It is commonly used as a multi-symptom relief for colds, allergies, and flu-like symptoms. Paracetamol is an analgesic and antipyretic, chlorpheniramine maleate is an antihistamine, phenylephrine hydrochloride is a decongestant, and salicylamide is an analgesic. Paracetamol (Acetaminophen): Paracetamol is a common analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer). Chlorpheniramine Maleate: An antihistamine that relieves symptoms of allergy, such as itching and sneezing. Phenylephrine HCl: Decongestant that narrows blood vessels, reducing swelling and congestion. Salicylamide: Analgesic and antipyretic with similarities to aspirin. Indications

-Relief of symptoms associated with colds, allergies, and flu, such as nasal congestion, fever, headache, body aches, and sneezing. -Paracetamol (Acetaminophen): Used to alleviate pain and reduce fever. -Chlorpheniramine Maleate: Used for the relief of allergic reactions. -Phenylephrine HCl: Used for nasal congestion. -Salicylamide: Pain relief and fever reduction. -Menthol: Often used for respiratory relief or in topical products for a cooling effect.


Dosage

-Adults: Take one tablet every 4 to 6 hours, as needed. Contra-Indications

-Hypersensitivity to any component of the medication. -Severe hypertension. -Severe coronary artery disease. -Severe liver or kidney disease. -Concomitant use of monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs). -Paracetamol (Acetaminophen): Individuals with known hypersensitivity to paracetamol should avoid it. -Chlorpheniramine Maleate: Individuals with narrow-angle glaucoma, urinary retention, or known hypersensitivity to the drug. -Phenylephrine HCl: Individuals with severe hypertension. -Salicylamide: Individuals with known hypersensitivity or bleeding disorders. -Menthol: Individuals with known hypersensitivity.


Special Precautions

-Use with caution in patients with hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, thyroid disease, glaucoma, prostate enlargement, or difficulty urinating. -Avoid alcohol consumption while taking this medication. -Do not use for prolonged periods without medical supervision. -Use caution when driving or operating machinery as this medication may cause drowsiness or dizziness. -Paracetamol (Acetaminophen): Use cautiously in individuals with liver conditions. -Chlorpheniramine Maleate: Caution in individuals with cardiovascular disease. -Phenylephrine HCl: Caution in individuals with heart conditions. -Salicylamide: Use cautiously in individuals with asthma.


Side Effects

Drug Interactions

-Concomitant use with other medications that contain paracetamol or salicylates may lead to overdose. -Avoid concurrent use with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), as it may lead to hypertensive crisis. -Caution should be exercised when using with other central nervous system depressants or alcohol.
