Delegates Explore Telangana's Life Sciences Hub at BioAsia 2024

In a prelude to the much-anticipated 21st edition of the BioAsia conference, approximately 200 delegates, encompassing both international and Indian representatives, were treated to a comprehensive tour of Genome Valley in Hyderabad. The visit showcased Telangana's strides in the life sciences sector and provided a firsthand look at the state's robust industrial clusters.

Divided into two groups, the delegates navigated the IKP Knowledge Park, an incubation centre, and the multifaceted facility Neovantage (Takshashila) on the inaugural day of BioAsia 2024. The guided tour also included visits to key facilities like Bharat Biotech, Biological E Limited, Sai Life Sciences, and IKP, offering insights into the cutting-edge advancements within the Genome Valley.

The Genome Valley's diverse ecosystem, tailored to industry requirements, left a lasting impression on the international and domestic delegates. The industrial clusters and facilities showcased during the bio-park visit underscored Telangana's commitment to fostering innovation in the life sciences industry.

BioAsia 2024, themed 'Transforming Life Sciences with Data and AI,' has garnered significant attention and participation from domestic and international stakeholders in the life sciences and healthcare sectors. The conference aims to facilitate impactful discussions and provide a roadmap for the future of healthcare and technology.

With a consistent track record of success, BioAsia has become a focal point for industry and corporate engagement, positioning India as a global hub for innovation in the life sciences. Leading companies such as Novartis, Bristol Myers Squibb, Dr Reddy's, Laurus Labs, and Sai Life Sciences have stepped forward as principal industry hosts, showcasing their commitment to driving developmental conversations. Additionally, industry co-hosts, including Medtronic, Aragen, CuraTeq, and Hetero, have joined the ranks to support BioAsia 2024.

Reflecting on its history, BioAsia has attracted distinguished participants, including Nobel Prize winners, Lasker Awardees, and prominent industry leaders like Bill Gates, Satya Nadella, Alex Gorsky, Vas Narasimhan, and Geoff Martha. The success of BioAsia 2023, held virtually with over 3000 global participants from 50+ countries, marked a resilient return post-pandemic, setting the stage for another impactful edition in 2024.
