Pagidipati Family Pledges Historic $50 Million to St. Joseph's Children's Hospital

In a landmark moment for pediatric healthcare in the Tampa Bay area, the St. Joseph's Children's Hospital Foundation has announced a monumental $50 million donation from the Pagidipati family of Tampa. This transformative gift, one of the largest in Tampa Bay's history and among the largest to healthcare in Florida, aims to bolster the future of pediatric healthcare in the community.

Led by Tampa business leader and philanthropist Sidd Pagidipati, along with his siblings Rahul and Srujani, the Pagidipati family's generous contribution is a testament to their commitment to honoring their parents' legacy as healthcare providers. This significant donation coincides with their parents' 50th wedding anniversary and their 50th anniversary of immigrating to the United States.

The gift will be instrumental in supporting the development of a new, purpose-built pediatric facility for St. Joseph's Children's Hospital, which BayCare unveiled in October as part of a strategic initiative to enhance access to top-tier healthcare for children in the region.

Upon the opening of the new children's hospital facility, it will bear the name "Pagidipati Children's Hospital at St. Joseph's," serving as a lasting tribute to the family's extraordinary generosity. Scheduled for completion by 2030, the new hospital building will further elevate BayCare's leading position as a provider of pediatric services in West Central Florida.

Sidd Pagidipati expressed his family's deep-seated belief in the importance of investing in the well-being of the region's children, citing St. Joseph's Children's Hospital as a beacon of excellence in pediatric care. The family's philanthropy reflects their vision of making Tampa Bay a premier destination for families and fostering a culture of health and vitality.

The Pagidipati family's commitment to community enrichment extends beyond healthcare, exemplified by their recent contribution to the Glazer Children's Museum. Sidd's parents, Dr. Devaiah Pagidipati and Dr. Rudrama Pagidipati, both esteemed healthcare professionals, have dedicated their lives to serving local communities and advancing medical care.

Sidd Pagidipati's entrepreneurial endeavors in the healthcare sector, alongside his wife Dr. Ami Pagidipati's contributions as an endodontist and academic, underscore the family's multifaceted commitment to improving healthcare delivery.

Joining in the celebration of their parents' legacy are Sidd's brother Rahul, sister-in-law Dr. Neha Pagidipati, sister Srujani, and Sidd and Ami's children, all of whom have roots in BayCare hospitals.

Gifts like the Pagidipatis' play a pivotal role in sustaining community-owned healthcare systems like BayCare, ensuring St. Joseph's Children's Hospital remains a leader in clinical excellence and tailored pediatric care.

BayCare President and CEO Stephanie Conners hailed the transformative impact of the Pagidipati family's donation, envisioning the Pagidipati Children's Hospital as a national beacon for child-centric, family-centered care of the highest caliber.

Expressing gratitude on behalf of the community's children, St. Joseph's Children's Hospital Foundation President Kate Sawa emphasized the profound significance of the Pagidipati family's philanthropy in shaping the future of pediatric healthcare in the region. Their leadership, she noted, will pave the way for enhanced pediatric services, research, and medical innovation, ensuring a brighter tomorrow for generations to come.
