CSIR-AMPRI and KAMP Collaborate to Ignite Scientific Curiosity Among Students

The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) - Advanced Materials and Processes Research Institute (AMPRI), in partnership with the Knowledge and Awareness Mapping Platform (KAMP), orchestrated a captivating Scientific Excursion on April 29th, 2024, in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.


Under the esteemed banner of the CSIR Jigyasa and Viksit Bharat Program, KAMP led the charge in organizing this enlightening expedition, welcoming over 250 enthusiastic students along with their mentors from DPS Kolar Road Bhopal, IES public school Sehore, and IES public school Ratibad, Bhopal.

The event commenced with an inauguration graced by Dr. D.P Mondal, Chief Scientist and Head of the Alloys, Composites, and Cellular Materials Division at CSIR-AMPRI, Bhopal, alongside Dr. Satanand Mishra, Principal Scientist & Jigyasa Coordinator at CSIR-AMPRI, Bhopal.

The Scientific Excursion served as a gateway for students to immerse themselves in the realms of science, technology, and innovation, fostering a deep-rooted passion for exploration and discovery. Dr. Mishra and his dedicated team from Jigyasa captivated the students through engaging discussions and insightful laboratory visits.

Within the laboratory settings, students were exposed to practical demonstrations across various domains including the 3D Printing Lab, Raman Spectrometer Lab, Hybrid Composite Lab, Centre for Advanced Radiation Shielding, and Geo-polymeric Materials (CARS&GM).

Established in May 1981 as the "Regional Research Laboratory" (RRL), the Advanced Materials and Processes Research Institute (AMPRI), Bhopal, stands as a beacon of scientific excellence, continually pushing the boundaries of knowledge and innovation.

The Knowledge and Awareness Mapping Platform (KAMP), a collaborative initiative between the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) - National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research (NIScPR), and industrial partner M/S Nysa Communications Pvt. Ltd. (NCPL), serves as a conduit for students to delve into scientific concepts, fostering a comprehensive understanding and igniting their curiosity for science.
