Indications

Adult acute non-lymphocytic leukaemia. Carcinoma of breast, non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Chronic myelogenous leukaemia.


Dosage

Initially 14 mg/sqm. Body surface area as single i.v. dose; repeat after 21 day interval.


Contra-Indications

Severe myelosuppression. Abnormal cardiac function from prior anthracycline exposure.


Special Precautions

History of cardiac disease.Periodic bloodcount and monitor cardiac function. Prior radiotherapy, anthracycline therapy. Concomitant cytotoxic therapy. Paediatrics: Contraindicated. Pregnancy: Contraindicated. Lactation: Contraindicated. Elderly: Use with caution.


Side Effects

Rash, Dyspnoea, phlebitis, cardio toxicity.
