India reports 17,070 new cases, 23 deaths in the last 24 hours

The number of new COVID cases in the past 24 hours saw a drop of about 10% on July 1, 2022, with the country reporting 17,070 cases in the past 24 hours.
The Union Health Ministry informed that the current active caseload stands at 1,07,189, while the weekly positivity rate stands at 3.59% and the daily positivity rate is reported to be 3.40%.
The country’s cumulative vaccination coverage has exceeded 197.74 Cr (1,97,74,71,041) as per provisional reports till 7 am on July 1, 2022, the Ministry further informed.
