Cerumenolytics

These aural preparations are used to soften the impacted wax and facilitate its removal from the ear. They contain analgesics and local anaesthetics which relieve ear ache promptly. Their mode of action is to emulsify and disperse the excess/impacted cerumen (ear wax), while exerting insecticidal, anti bacterial, and anti-fungal actions.

Indications

Relieves ear discomfort, dissolve ear wax.

Dosage

Instill 5-10 drops, insert cotton plug into the meatus & allow to remain for about 15-30 mins.

Contra-Indications

Otitis externa, seborrhoeic dermatitis & eczema affecting ear.

Special Precautions

Donot touch the nozzle tip, which may contaminate the contents.Use the soln within one month after opening. If irritation persists discontinue.
